About

From the beginning  my passion was music.  Listening to music  gave me a sense of joy like none other.  And when I discovered singing in a choir in Oxford  in my 50s, I was in heaven.

I’m interested in cartooning in troubled times.   My background is in Fine Arts (printmaking and painting) and Computer science, specifically computers and language.  I grew up happily in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania  living a sheltered life in the suburbs which presented almost no threatening situations or social challenges. I went to a State University in Pennsylvania and met mostly middle class people like myself.  Listened to lots of music, did lots of drawing, painting and printmaking, experimented with hallucinogenics (Mary Jane+) and tried to understand who I was and what I was supposed to be doing on earth. I finished a degree in fine arts with no immediate prospects, so went to graduate school in New York City where life at 20 began.
