About Anne Marie
Anne Marie’s interest in art started when she was a child. Two of uncles were professional painters and from an early age she was encouraged in her creative pursuits. After an art baccalaureate in France she studied textile design. Anne Marie studied printmaking in 1998 at the Slade School of Art. The printmaking process felt like magic. Each print presented slight differences, each one with a new and exciting result. Colours, textures and line drawings play an important role in her work. Some of her prints a quite small, but recently she started using digital techniques to enlarge and create larger pieces. Anne Marie finds her inspiration in maps, signs and symbols, patterns and travels. Anne Marie has exhibited in London, Oxfordshire and France and works from her studio in Oxfordshire.
