About Sharda
I always enjoyed art and wanted to develop my interest in it. After retiring and moving to Brackley, I started painting in watercolours and acrylic. I also enjoy taking nature photographs and transfer them on to canvas.
I became a member of Buckingham Art for All (BAFA) in 2012 and enjoy exhibiting in their bi-annual exhibitions.
I joined a lino printing class in December 2014 and have added linocut and printmaking as my other interests. Soon after my lino printing class, I joined BAFA Printmakers Group and am continuing my interest in linocut and printing. At our regular printmakers meeting, I learn many different printmaking techniques which I enjoy experimenting with. I regularly exhibit my work in Dragon Gallery.
I took part in Buckingham Open Studios held in June 2015 and again in 2016 at Woolpack. In 2018 I took part in our printmakers exhibition held at Claydon House and enjoyed displaying my work using different types of techniques in printmaking.
Recently I joined etching classes at Oxford Printmakers Co-operative and added etching as another technique to my experience. I became the Associate Member of OPC this January and am looking forward to trying and learning more techniques in all types of printing.
